Water Mitigation From Start to Finish

Step 1: Contact

Time is extremely critical when it comes to limiting damage so it is very important to contact Good Times Restoration as soon as any water leaks or flood damage is discovered.

Step 2: Assessment

As soon as Good Times Restoration has been contacted a certified professional technician will be dispatched to assess any potential areas of damage. Any damaged areas will be noted and a drying strategy will be created based on the category, class and extent of the damage.

Step 3: Extraction

Anytime standing water is present in a water loss it is very important to remove as much of it as possible as soon as possible. Removing excess water helps prevent damage from spreading to unaffected areas as well as reducing drying times.

Step 4: Demolition

Demolition removes damaged materials that are no longer up to pre-loss standards. It also allows access to areas that could hold water that would not otherwise be able to dry effectively. When using demolition great care is taken to only remove what is absolutely necessary to effectively dry the structure. We understand how stressful these situations can be and make all of our decisions based on what we believe will be best and have the least impact on the customer. In an effort to eliminate contamination such as dust and debris to other areas of the house, containment is set up to limit these contaminants to only the effected areas.

Step 5: Drying

After any needed demolition has been completed drying equipment will be set up based on a drying strategy created from moisture readings. This will often include dehumidifiers, centrifugal air movers ,axial fans and in some cases air scrubbers. The goal is to have the structure returned to pre-loss moisture standards as quickly as possible.

Step 6: Reconstruction

Once the structure has passed all moisture tests its time to begin returning it to pre-loss conditions. A construction crew will rebuild any building materials that were damaged or ruined from the loss.
