Monsoon season officially starts June 15th and ends September 30th. Here’s a few things to keep in mind for this monsoon season.
Plan Ahead
For the safety of you and your family it is important to create a communication and evacuation plan. Check your property for loose debris, overhanging trees, and other potential hazards that could cause damage to your San Tan Valley house or property.
Take Shelter
When thunder roars go inside or take shelter. During a storms lightning can strike up to 10 miles away. Monsoon winds create dust storms or Haboobs that can significantly affect the air quality.
Travel Safely
Do not cross roads of flowing water, it only takes 18 inches of water to carry away a vehicle. If you get caught driving in a dust storm, your visibility can be significantly compromised. Pull off the road, put your vehicle in park and turn your lights off until the dust storm passes

Prepare a Care Kit
